Freight Tool
Shipping Volume Weight Calculator
Compare actual weight with dimensional weight under an explicit divisor. Enter every field, then confirm the units, divisor, rounding and service rules with the carrier or provider before using the result.
Keep your buying context
This panel keeps your country and agent across tools. The remaining research and tool fields are in English; seller titles stay as recorded. A generated link is not a stock check or live shipping quote.
These are arithmetic examples from the published test matrix, not verified defaults for a carrier or route.
Result
This test contract compares the unrounded actual and dimensional values, then displays the result to two decimal places. It is not a freight quote.

Request current estimates from official calculators
FindHaul does not scrape or invent a universal shipping rate. These links open the official provider calculators or official calculator guide, where the provider can apply current routes, restrictions and prices to your parcel inputs.

No reviewed public developer API was found for these provider calculators. Until an official supported API is documented or access is granted, FindHaul sends the user to the official calculator instead of replaying private endpoints or labeling a static formula as “real-time shipping.”
How Volumetric Weight Is Calculated
This calculator uses a transparent arithmetic contract for comparing package volume with entered actual weight:
Volumetric Weight = Volume ÷ Divisor
Under this test contract, the billable weight is the larger of the unrounded actual and dimensional values. A carrier may add minimums, increments, packaging adjustments or other rules.
Different Carriers Use Different Divisors
There is no single divisor that applies to every route. The example controls expose 4000, 5000 and 6000 for metric inputs and 139, 166 and 180 for imperial inputs so that the arithmetic can be tested under different assumptions.
A lower divisor increases the calculated dimensional weight. That does not by itself establish a price. Confirm the exact unit convention, divisor, rounding method, minimums and rate for the specific service before relying on the result.

36-case dimensional-weight test matrix
FindHaul publishes 24 valid arithmetic cases and 12 invalid-input cases covering metric and imperial units, alternative divisors, actual-versus-dimensional selection, exact ties, decimal boundaries, dimension permutations and validation failures.
These are software test vectors, not observed shipments, carrier tariffs or results from testing 36 commercial calculators. Three rows reproduce an earlier public baseline; the other 33 are synthetic boundary and validation cases.
